As a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 the City of Toledo has received $3.275 million (HUD) and Lucas County has received $722,500 (ODOD) for a Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP). The Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board (TLCHB) is administering the county’s allocation. HPRP presents a unique opportunity to further the goals of the CASE Plan to Prevent, Reduce and End Homelessness. The Grantees are working in a coordinated effort to implement the CASE-HPRP program countywide.
The Grantees recently completed an request for qualifications process for agencies interested in administering at least one of four components of the program. On August 11, 2009 the following subgrantees were announced: Centralized Intake – United Way of Greater Toledo 2-1-1; Lead Case Management Supervision – FOCUS; Rapid Re-Housing Case Management – Lucas County TASC; Homelessness Prevention: Toledo Area Ministries & EOPA
