United Way to Announce $100,000 Emergency Response Grant
WHAT:
United Way of Greater Toledo (UWGT) will host a news conference at its downtown office on Friday morning, announcing a $100,000 Emergency Response Fund Grant to help remediate the un-housed/homeless crisis the community is currently facing.
UWGT will allocate its $100,000 grant to five local organizations who have seen dramatic increases in families and individuals seeking shelter. On Sept. 21, UWGT published this news release, outlining the issue at-hand.
Attendees of the news conference will hear from local experts and shelter operators on why this crisis is occurring, where exactly funds will be going and how the community can support.
